MISSION
STATEMENT
Temecula Middle School is
committed to providing a safe learning environment where students, parents,
staff and the community accept responsibility for preparing students for
academic success and the challenges of the future.
POSITIVE
LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
Delivery of instruction is a
coordinated effort implemented by administrators, certificated and classified
personnel, and parents. Academic achievement and citizenship are
recognized through trimester awards assemblies and CJSF membership.
Teachers are encouraged to recognize student achievement throughout
the year with certificates of achievement and certificates provided by
community businesses. Names of honor roll students are posted in the
media center hallway each trimester. The Student Study Team provides
teachers, parents, and administrators an opportunity to discuss and
develop strategies to help students improve academically.

QUALITY
OF INSTRUCTION |
TVUSD aligns its curriculum with state
standards and provides enrichment activities at the site level to support
instruction. The District also holds a philosophy
that each school principal should be the Instructional Leader on that cam-pus.
As such, principals take an active role in the learning process at each
TVUSD school, spending much of their day in the classroom.
TVUSD teachers are evaluated and given areas for improvement by
their principals. To aide in this endeavor, administrators are trained in evaluation
skills. This training is designed to help administrators evaluate their staff in a
manner that will produce better teaching in the classroom and thus enhance
student success. Staff development days enhance this
quest for excellence by giving teachers the tools needed to succeed in an on-going
manner.
Goals for Staff Development:
· Support for Literacy
· English Language Arts materials
· Support for math programs
· New teacher training
· Positive classroom management training

PARENT
INVOLVEMENT
Contact: Rob Sousa
- (951) 302-5151
Temecula Middle School directly involves parents in their child’s
progress. Parents are asked to sign a weekly student planner, which
includes information on the school, homework and class assignments.
A principal’s newsletter with various activities is posted monthly on our
website. Student surveys are sent home at the end of each trimester
allowing parents and students to discuss areas of academic
achievement and need for improvements. Teachers, students, and parents review the
survey at the end of the trimester and goals are set for the next
trimester. Temecula Middle School has an active PTSA that supports the
educational goals of the school.
