Dear Senior and
Parents,
The Citizens’
Scholarship Foundation of Temecula Valley is celebrating its 23rd
year of providing senior scholarships and the time for acquiring
applications approaches rapidly. Last year we presented over
$141,000 in scholarship donations to Temecula Valley Unified School
District seniors. The following information provides answers to the
most frequently asked questions regarding our policies and
application process. An additional multi-year scholarship by the
Roripaugh Family Foundation will be offered again this year through
the Citizens’ Scholarship Foundation process.
Policies:
Any senior with an overall GPA of
3.0 or higher qualifies for these academic scholarships and may
apply.
Volunteer hours will be verified
by school site counselors and could be a determining factor in
scholarship awards.
The minimum scholarship awarded is
$250.
Monies awarded will be sent
directly to the recipient’s college of choice upon proof of
enrollment, not to the student, as this may affect the needs based
scholarship.
Students may be awarded more than
one scholarship through the Foundation.
Scholarships awarded outside the
Foundation do not affect eligibility, except in the case of a
full-ride scholarship.
Scholarships will be awarded at an
exciting event the evening of Monday, May 17, 2010 at Great Oak High
School in the gymnasium at 6:30 PM. Award winners must be present
to receive any scholarships.
Application Process:
Applications will be available
online www.temeculascf.org
or may be picked up at the school’s Career Center from
February 11th until March 11, 2010. There will be daily
announcements at your school site.
Applications should be printed on
white paper only and must be in black ink.
Transcripts of the students school
record will need to be attached.
Completed applications must be
returned to your school’s main office no later than March 11,
2010 by 5:00 PM. Late applications cannot be accepted.
Questions concerning
the application process can be submitted through the Foundation
website or you may call the numbers below.
