About CSF

Dear Community Members,

The Citizens’ Scholarship Foundation of Temecula Valley is devoted to helping our local high school seniors realize their dreams of a higher education.  And we would love to have you help us!  This is your opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our future community leaders and your future employees.

The cost of tuition, combined with books, room and board, and other student expenses can close the door to higher education for some of our brightest high school graduates.  The yearly cost at local community colleges, California State Universities, and the University of California school system is constantly on the rise.  Currently, the approximate enrollment fee/tuition for one year at our local community college is about $3,200 with fees of $9,500 at a California State school or $15,400 to attend a University of California school.  Smaller private college expenses are even much higher!

Citizens’ Scholarship Foundation, an affiliate of Dollars for Scholars and their Collegiate Partners Program, has an expanded opportunity to make scholarship dollars go farther with more than 500 colleges, universities, and postsecondary schools across the US whose collegiate institutions do not reduce a recipient’s financial aid when students receive a scholarship from us.  Some of these institutions even match Citizens’ Scholarship Foundation/Dollar for Scholars awards.

A scholarship recipient wrote, “I wish to express to you my immense gratitude for the scholarship which you have bestowed upon me.  I am so thankful for the money, but more so for the encouragement and support it represents.  Thank you for believing in my future success enough to award me this scholarship.”  This sentiment is a typical response from our scholarship recipients.  It validates the hard work of the Citizens’ Scholarship Foundation and the generosity of our scholarship donors.

Please join many other generous Temecula supporters and show your commitment as a “believer” in your community’s youth by completing and returning the enclosed pledge sheet to provide a local student with a college scholarship.  We thank you for your participation in this rewarding program.
