Temecula Jazz event to help Loma Linda Hospital

Proceeds from the Smooth Jazz and Music Festival happening in October have been set to benefit The Ronald McDonald House in Loma Linda. As a means of maximizing this charity, The Smooth Jazz and Music Festival’s new kite promotion, “Kites that Count,” will also help to raise funds to be donated to the facility that supports the families of loved ones Loma Linda Hospital.

The Loma Linda Ronald McDonald House is a facility that houses families who have children receiving medical treatment at Loma Linda Hospital. This service enables families who live a long distance from Loma Linda Hospital to stay close by while their son or daughter receives care. Ronald McDonald House offers lodging and kitchen access to visitors, thus providing a “home away from home” during a difficult time.   

The Smooth Jazz and Music kite promotion will serve as a way for the community to donate to the Ronald McDonald House. Valley Printing in Temecula will be printing the kites free of charge for purchase at participating retailers such as Shea Homes, Dine In Delivery, and Lotus Music Productions, Temecula Visitors Bureau. Kites can be obtained with a $1.00 donation, and each purchased kite will be displayed in a prominent spot at the retailer’s location to help raise awareness for both the program and the Ronald McDonald House. The design of the kites is meant to resemble that of the one found in the logo of the Loma Linda Ronald McDonald House.

The money raised by the “Kites that Count” program will help to provide the Loma Linda Ronald McDonald House with necessities to maintain the facility for incoming families. Donations of all sizes are welcome.

If you would like to participate in this program as a kite retailer please call 951-694-8733. Business participants will receive tickets to the final day of the Smooth Jazz and Music Festival, which is October 29. All participants who enter kites will have an opportunity to win an autographed CD on Sunday from a collective drawing.
