Community Music Day

It’s a musical holiday celebration throughout Old Town Temecula this weekend. High school and middle school bands and choirs will entertain on Saturday, December 10 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the Old Town Holiday Stage in front of Calico Coffee. The day will start with the Murrieta Vista High School Choir at 10 a.m. Temecula Middle School plays at 11 a.m. with Vail Ranch Middle School, the Valley Winds and Temecula Valley High School's Jazz Ensemble following at each hour.

Music on the stage concludes with the multitalented choirs and bands of Calvary Chapel Murrieta. Hundreds of singers and musicians from grade school to the adult choir entertain during their two-hour performance.  Temecula High School’s choir will carol while strolling through Old Town Temecula.

Original art produced by the senior art organization of Lake Elsinore, “The Paletteers,” will also be on exhibit Saturday near the Old Town Temecula Stage.

This is Old Town Temecula’s ninth annual holiday celebration where shops come alive with holiday lights, festive displays, and holiday cheer. Children are encouraged to enter the Old Town Temecula Coloring Contest sponsored by Melody’s Ad Works. Entries can be picked up at local Old Town Temecula Merchants, the Children’s Museum or Santa’s Workshop. Crayons are also available at Santa’s Workshop while supplies last. The deadline for entries is this Sunday, December 11. Coloring Contest entry blanks have an Old Town Temecula Christmas game board on the front side.

Old Town Temecula boasts over 100 antique dealers and curios shops, plus a variety of fine dining. The old western town comes alive during the holiday season, with many of the stores known for their holiday displays and unique gift selections.

Scrooge-aka-Dynamite Dave is in Old Town every Sunday through December 17.   For more information and a complete schedule of entertainment contact the City of Temecula, (951) 694-6412.
